Operation Weight Loss

I've been going back and forth about weither or not I want to blog about my weightloss journey and I came to the conculsion that the more people I am to be accoutable to the better. I am excited and nervous at the same time. It's so hard for me because I do not have strong will power. I told Curtis that this is the time that I wish I was working so I wouldn't be home all day and be close to the refrigerator. I wish we could get rid of all the snacks in the house but with a 1 1/2 old in the house that needs the extra calories that is out of the question.
So, on Tuesday February 2 I started my high protein diet and once a week I go to A Doctor's Weightloss Clinic (it was a fraction of the cost that Lindora wanted to charge) where I recieve my B12 shot and weigh-in. I signed up for 8 weeks and I will see where I am after that. I am very fortunate that I have a good support team already in place. Curtis and his mom are joining me on the diet.
On Tuesday I weighed in at 246.3. This is very hard for me to admit to myself let alone anyone who will be reading this. But that is reality. My goal is to be at 200 in that 8 weeks. But my overall goal is to get down to 160. So for those of you who are trying to do the math in your head that makes my weighloss goal 46.3 pounds in 8 weeks and an overall weighloss goal of 86 pounds. I am also working out using the Biggest Loser Wii game and walking.
Days 1-3:
Day 1 went pretty good. I wasn't too hungry, I just didn't have a whole lot of energy. Day 2 was okay. I noticed after I worked out in the afternoon I was light headed and felt sick to my stomach. But, after laying down for 10 minutes I was feeling much better. But let me tell you the caffenie headache kicked in that night and I was pretty hungry and grouchy. For the first time in a long time I went to bed when Megan did. So today is day 3 and it is going much much better. I woke-up with more energy and actually started out my day with my workout. I think I will be doing my workout in the mornings from now on. I've been able to keep my energy all day instead of petering out about this time. I think I'm going to go take Megan for a walk to the park.
Until next time.

Disneyland

We took Megan to Disneyland for the first time on Saturday. It was my middle nephew Julian's 8th Birthday. We had such a good time. Megan especially. She loved Pirates of the Caribbean. She was waving at all the pirates and the drops didn't bother her at all. It wasn't too busy and we were able to get on all of the rides farely quickly. Her Uncle bought her, her first pin trading set. We had fun trading pins throughout the day. We didn't get to see to many of the characters though so it's a good thing that we get to go back once more.

Pumpkins

I can't believe it's almost Halloween. We took Megan to the pumpkin patch this last weekend. The whole family went. Even though she doesn't get it I think she had fun. She loves watching her cousins. Stay tuned for Halloween pictures to follow.

Rolling Over

About 2 weeks ago Megan started rolling over. She can go from her tummy to back and back to her tummy again. She loves it. She rolls on her side so she can see what we're doing or what is on tv.
We went for her 4 month check-up yesterday and she weighs 12.8 pounds and is 25 inches long. When they get weighed you have to strip them down to nothing... well, when I picked her up off the scale she peed all over me. The nurse just laughed. The doctor said everything looks great and we can start giving her cereal mixed with formula and feeding her with a spoon. She also got shots, you never would have known though. She cried with the needle went in but as soon as I picked her up she stooped and when we were out making her next appointment she was laughing with the nurses. What a little trooper.

Poor Megan

So I am going to tell on myself a little - not that I did anything wrong but it's just funny. Well every mom knows how hard it is to have a baby and try and go to the bathroom. Sometimes you just have to take them with you and lay them on the rug. Well we had just come in from getting the mail and Megan was awake so I took off the front carrier and laid her down.... well by the time I was done this was my poor kid....

Beach

I know it's been a while since I updated last and I apologize for that.

Megan, Curtis and I had a blast at the beach. I know Curtis' wished he could have been down there the whole week with us but was busy with Range Master School. He had so much fun during his class.

Megan absolutely loved the beach. It kind of spoiled her in a way though. I'll tell you more about that later. She loved being in her stroller, the front carrier and even the crazy tent I bought for her. Because we took my 2 older nephews with us I think Megan thought she had 2 older brothers all of a sudden and when we got home I know she was bored with just me.

The weather was great and the waves were perfect. We couldn't have asked for a better week.

Poor Megan though because we went on the pier a couple of times had to be bundled up. She was a trooper though.

As for her being spoiled well it kind of bit me in the butt because I didn't even think about it and she wasn't in her car seat for a whole week and she was used to going to sleep in the front carrier. Let's just say it took all of last week to get her back into the swing of things.
